Editorial and correction policy

Updated 3 November 2026

Purpose and audience

This site helps IT engineers and learners reason through infrastructure tasks. Calculators provide a model, not authority to change a production system. Guidance should explain the decision a result supports, the assumptions behind it and the checks that remain.

How examples are checked

Examples use synthetic inputs and explicit arithmetic or expected structured output. Automated checks reproduce those answers using the same calculation engine as the public tool. Browser checks exercise input controls and results. A passing test checks the stated model; it does not certify a vendor platform, a live network or an organisation’s recovery plan.

Sources and original explanation

Standards and official product documentation are linked beside the relevant guidance where external behaviour is discussed. The worked scenarios and reasoning are written for this toolbox. Hypothetical prices and workloads are labelled as assumptions. The site does not claim a vendor endorsement, accredited training status or a named expert review that has not taken place.

Scope of the current content review

On 3 November 2026, 18 additional tool pages received individual engineering examples, interpretation and model limits. Six other tools already had dedicated worked-example cards and four practical walkthroughs were published by 2 November. This targeted work is not a claim that every tool has received the same depth of editorial review. The Updates page identifies the affected tools.

Corrections and maintenance

To report a result, email the address on the Contact page with the tool name, synthetic inputs, chosen action, actual output, expected output and a supporting reference. Remove secrets and personal data. Confirmed corrections should include a reproducible check and a factual update entry. There is no promised response time or fixed publication schedule.

Dates and advertising

A page modification date is recorded when its content changes; routine builds do not create a new editorial date. New routes do not automatically qualify for future advertising. Advertising remains disabled pending separate site approval, owner authorisation and privacy requirements. Content review is not a guarantee of approval by an advertising platform.
