Scope
These terms apply to the website and offline edition published under the IT Engineer’s Toolbox project name. The website provides free calculation, transformation, planning and learning features.
Appropriate use
Use the tools for tasks you are authorised to perform. Do not use the website to interfere with systems, obtain unauthorised access, distribute malicious material or breach another person’s rights. The tools do not grant permission to test any third-party system.
Checking your work
You are responsible for selecting appropriate inputs, units and assumptions, reviewing copied or exported output, and obtaining the approvals needed for real changes. Test configurations and recovery plans against your actual platform and operational requirements. A passing syntax check or planning estimate does not establish production readiness.
Data and confidentiality
Only process material you are permitted to use. Consider the device, browser extensions, clipboard and downloaded copies when handling sensitive data. Use synthetic examples when sharing diagnostic information. Local processing does not make an untrusted device safe.
Generated commands and drafts
Commands, DNS records, architecture recommendations and workflow descriptions are drafts for review. The application does not execute them or make changes to your infrastructure. Executing a copied command or publishing a generated record is a separate action under your control.
Availability and changes
Features and content may be corrected, changed or removed. No uptime target, support response time or guarantee of compatibility with every browser, vendor or workload is offered. Keep copies of information you need; browser-stored settings are not a managed backup service.
References and third parties
Links to standards and vendor documentation provide supporting context. Third-party websites and products have their own terms and availability. A reference does not imply affiliation, sponsorship or approval.
Applicable rights
The tools and information are provided as available, subject to applicable law. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer or other legal rights, or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. No exclusive governing jurisdiction is asserted while the operator’s applicable legal arrangements remain unconfirmed.
