Email Address Extractor

Extract ordinary email addresses and occurrence counts from supplied text.

Calculations run in your browser. The tool does not send your inputs to a server.

A quick guide

How to use this tool

  1. Check the example and the unit beside each input.
  2. Enter your values and choose Extract.
  3. Review the result and assumptions, then copy what you need.

Reset example restores the starting values. Clear removes text and number inputs, returns choices to their first valid option, and removes the result.

Reference guide

Explanation and worked examples

Use the exact-domain filter to limit results to one domain. Duplicates preserve local-part case and ignore domain case. This deliberately handles ASCII dot-atom mailboxes with dotted domains; quoted and internationalised mailboxes need a full mail-address parser.

Use in day-to-day IT work

Extract contact addresses from a support export or incident evidence without uploading the text.

Checks before applying the result

  • Review the extracted list before using it; extraction does not establish permission to contact recipients or that a mailbox exists.
  • The exact-domain filter excludes subdomains. Quoted, internationalised and address-literal mailboxes are outside the supported format. Local-part case is retained.
