Validate JSON syntax and show readable or compact output.

Calculations run in your browser. The tool does not send your inputs to a server.

A quick guide

How to use this tool

  1. Check the example and the unit beside each input.
  2. Enter your values and choose Format or Minify.
  3. Review the result and assumptions, then copy what you need.

Reset example restores the starting values. Clear removes text and number inputs, returns choices to their first valid option, and removes the result.

Reference guide

Explanation and worked examples

Format adds indentation; Minify removes unnecessary whitespace. Numeric values must survive a decimal text round trip through the supported binary64 representation. Unsafe integers, fractional rounding and nonzero underflow are rejected; quote high-precision values as strings. Syntax validation does not prove a business contract.

Use in day-to-day IT work

Inspect a JSON configuration or response while troubleshooting.

Checks before applying the result

  • Valid JSON can still contain incorrect configuration values. Compare against the service schema and preserve the original file.
  • Unsafe integers, fractional values that change in a decimal text round trip, and nonzero values that underflow to zero are rejected. Quote large identifiers and high-precision values as strings; ordinary supported decimal values remain usable.
